First Meeting! At our first official meeting of the year, we celebrated with pizza! We got to know new people by playing "People Bingo." Everyone enjoyed learning about the club, meeting new people, and hearing about the first of many upcoming service opportunities.
Decorating SocksAt this meeting we decorated socks with puffy paint. This created non-slip socks that we donated to a local retirement home. They were also super fun to make!

Fall RallySeveral of our board members travelled to La Salle to attend Fall Officer Training with other clubs from the Liberty division. There, the officers made alphabet packets for an organization called Love Letters. Overall, the event was a great time that embraced service, leadership, and fellowship.
Making SandwichesAt this meeting, we worked together to make bagged lunches for the Day Room in West Chester. Each lunch had a sandwich that we made, an orange, a granola bar, and a muffin. When it was all said and done, we packed 50 lunches to donate!

Yoga!At this meeting, we embraced our inner yogis. With our DSP focusing on Health and Wellness, we chose to take care of our mental health with a yoga video, followed by partner yoga! The experience was full of laughs and relaxation.

Midnight Bake SaleNew this year, we had a midnight bake sale as a fundraiser. Club members baked many different treats to sell in town. We raised $64, and all of that will go towards WASH.

Salvation ArmyFor the third year in a row, we went to the Salvation Army to help with their annual food drive. This drive stocks the pantry for the year. This year had a great turnout, and it was nice to see so many different people working together. Volunteers unloaded cars, emptied bags, sorted the foods, and then boxed/labeled them by expiration date to fill up the pantry. Thanks to everyone that came out!
WASH InfoTonight we watched videos to learn more about WASH and their impact with UNICEG. We played Kahoot to learn about water and sanitation. We can't wait to do more for this organization.

Halloween SocialThis week we celebrated Halloween with a social. We started with pizza and snacks, before we played Halloween Family Feud.
Love LettersThis week we made letter packets for Love Letters. These alphabet packets will go to school kids to help them practice their letters, spelling, and reading. Each packet includes a letter written by the person who made it to encourage the kids to practice and keep reading.

Safe HarborSafe Harbor is a shelter for homeless members of the community. We visited the residents there twice. First, we made cute candle crafts, and on the next visit, we painted nails and had a self-care night. It was great to talk to the ladies there and get to know their stories.
Addiction Prevention AdvocacyThis week we got a new perspective on addiction. To think about the addiction prevention aspect of the DSP, we created posters to share as part of an advocacy campaign.

Pinning CeremonyThis year we welcomed 22 dues paid members to the club, including many new and returning members. We celebrated the evening with food, pictures, and of course, service. We can't wait to see what this group can accomplish.
